Karthi offers the latest update on elder bro Suriya’s health after the latter was diagnosed with COVID-19

On Monday, a lot of Suriya fans were shaken up by the news that their favourite actor has been tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Suriya who gave one of the hits of 2020 in the South industry won several hearts as Maara. On Monday, the Soorarai Pottru actor had announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19 and was taking a treatment for the same. He had been in isolation and was taking necessary precautions as well. And now, his brother, Karthi has shared an update on his health. Cheer all Suriya fans as your beloved star is back home. He will home quarantined from now on. Karthi also thanked everyone for their wishes.

“Anna is back home and all safe! Will be in home quarantine for a few days. Can’t thank you all enough for the prayers and best wishes!,” Karthi tweeted out a couple of hours ago. Have a dekko at the Kaithi actor’s tweet here:

Suriya had taken to his Twitter handle to reveal his diagnosis. At the same time, the Singam actor had assured his fans and well-wishers that there was nothing to worry about. “I am suffering from ‘corona’ infection and am receiving treatment. We will all realize that life has not yet returned to normal. Can’t be paralyzed with fear. At the same time, safety and attention are essential. Love and thanks to the dedicated supportive physicians,” a translated version of his tweet had read.

Talking about the OTT release of his film, Soorarai Pottru, Suriya had maintained a stoic stand on release his film online than in the theatres. He was of opinion that he would not risk the lives of his fans amidst the pandemic. “I cannot expect my fans to go to the theatre when I don’t want my family members anywhere near a closed space during the pandemic. This call was the smartest thing to do, given the circumstances,” he says firmly.
