Giovanni Pernice marked the end of his and Rose Ayling-Ellis’ dance journey in a candid message as he declared his “love” for the EastEnders’ actress. The Strictly Come Dancing 2021 winners have entertained fans throughout the country as the BBC One show wrapped up the dance tour yesterday.
Taking to Instagram, Giovanni, 31, shared a heartfelt message, in view of his 800,000 followers.
The Italian-born dancer thanked Rose, 27, following their Strictly win as he gushed over the beginning of an “eternal friendship”.
Sharing a snap of the dancing duo on the dancefloor, the pair gazed intently into each other’s eyes during their performance.
He penned: “SCD [Strictly Come Dancing] champion [tick emoji].
“SCD live tour champion [tick emoji].
“The end of our @bbcstrictly journey but the beginning of an eternal friendship!!”
Giovanni added: “I love you @rose.a.e. THANK YOU for the best six months of my life!”
Rose replied: “Thank YOU for the best six months of my life!”

Fans of the Strictly duo were swiftly inundated with praise as they flooded the comment section.
Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse shared a series of heart emojis, while Gorka Marquez added clapping hand emojis.
Others were left “in tears” as social media users gushed over the Strictly champions.

Others urged the pair to not stop dancing together, as @eunicebowes begged: “Please find a way to dance together from time to time. Gonna miss you both.”

Meanwhile, Giovanni took to his Instagram stories and shared a sweet backstage video alongside Rose.
“Last day together on tour,” the Italian dancer explains. “But it’s not finished.”
“You do feel like a chapter [is] closing,” Rose said, appearing emotional.
They ended the clip calling each other “champions”.
Rose and Giovanni and their fellow Strictly stars have put on 33 shows as the hit BBC One show headed on the road for the tour which came to a close on Sunday.
