Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly sent the royal family a first photo of their newborn daughter Lilibet on WhatsApp.
According to ET, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been keeping the extended family up-to-date through the texting group since Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor's birth on 4 June.
The royal couple paid tribute to both the Queen, 95, and Harry's late mum Princess Diana, who died in 1997, when they named their second child.
A message from the pair, who are also parents to two year old son Archie, on their Archewell website, read: "On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili.
"She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe. Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family."
Following the arrival of their baby girl, the couple are said to have called Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II via video to introduce their baby girl.
"They were very excited and couldn't wait to share that their daughter arrived," a source told People.
However, Harry's brother William, 38, and his wife Kate Middleton, 39, have reportedly not met the young tot just yet.
During a visit to a school in Cornwall last week, a journalist at the G7 press conference questioned the Duchess of Cambridge on the new arrival, asking: "Your Royal Highness, do you have any wishes for your niece Lilibet?"
She beamed and said: “I wish her the very best. I can’t wait to meet her because we haven’t met her yet, I hope that will be soon.”
While they had the Duchess's attention the reporter asked whether the mother-of-three had FaceTimed with Meghan. Kate swiftly responded: "No, I haven't."
Harry and Meghan have been at loggerheads with the rest of the royal family since they announced their decision to step down as senior members.

Meghan reportedly previously attempted to reach out to Kate in an effort to help patch up the feud after fears she could lose her royal title.
A source told Heat Magazine that Meghan initially “underestimated” the Duchess of Cambridge’s influence within the royal household and has since made several attempts to mend their broken relationship.
The insider claimed: “Meghan’s fearful of losing her title, and the repercussions of Harry’s statements about the Royals in his recent Apple TV+ documentary with Oprah Winfrey.
“She’s secretly reached out to Kate, as she knows that the only hope they can have of smoothing things over with the family is to get Kate on their side.”

However, it is thought that Kate wants to stay out of the family troubles, despite hoping her husband Prince William will one day reconcile with his brother.
The source added: "Kate would rather stay out of any ‘secret talks’, as she fears anything she says could be used against her.
“But she wants peace and civility, especially seeing how much pain this has caused William, Charles and the Queen. Her only words of wisdom for Meghan and Harry are to stop once and for all with the public outbursts.”
