The Korean craze on Netflix is showing no sign of slowing down.

On Thursday, the streaming giant released the racy trailer for the upcoming film Love and Leashes.

The bizarre rom-com tells the story of a submissive office worker who embarks on a masochistic romance with his glamorous female boss.

Although she is completely inexperienced in the world of sub-dom relationships, she agrees to learn the ropes by becoming his master. 

As they continue to explore their unusual union, the pair begin to develop deeper romantic feelings for each other.

‘A bungled delivery in the office reveals a steamy secret and kicks off an exciting after-hours relationship between a new assistant manager and his straightforward subordinate,’ Netflix said in a statement.

‘Calling the shots just got a whole new meaning and life sure got a lot more interesting – on and off the clock.’

The title characters are played by Lee Jun-young and Seohyun, who in real life are successful K-pop idols in South Korea.

Seohyun found fame as a member of Korea’s most popular girl group Girls’ Generation, while Jun-young was in the boy bands UNB and U-Kiss before transitioning to acting.

The film’s trailer has a screwball comedy vibe, indicating it will be far less dark than Western S&M movies like Secretary and Fifty Shades of Grey.

Love & Leashes will premiere globally on Netflix on February 11.

The racy film is the latest in a growing number of Korean movies and TV shows that have been garnering attention from international viewers.

Following the blockbuster success of Squid Game, other Korean dramas like Hellbound and the revenge drama My Name became popular with Western audiences.

The dating reality show Single’s Inferno has also been a huge hit, while the upcoming zombie drama All of Us Are Dead is tipped to be the next global sensation when it premieres on January 28.

All of Us Are Dead centers around a high school that becomes ground zero for a zombie outbreak, and stars Squid Game actress Lee Yoo-mi. 

‘All of Us Are Dead tells the story of a group of students trapped in their school amid a zombie outbreak, forced to band together for survival,’ Netflix said in a statement.

‘With thousands of students immediately contaminated (depicted in the most realistic and heart-racing visuals), it leaves only a few remaining alive on campus,’ it continues.

‘This series revolves around these students who are linked by a desire to survive along with betrayal and friendship in its most unlikely forms.’
