Linda Nolan, 62, has shared her fears about dying while detailing her plans to go into a hospice. The Nolans star, who is battling secondary breast cancer, admitted she worries about getting the results from her oncologist “every time” she has a CT scan in case the disease has “spread again”.

Opening up about her illness, Linda said: “I have secondary breast cancer.

“It was in my breast in 2006 and then it metastasized [when cancer cells break away and form new tumours in other parts of the body].

“In 2017 it went to my hip and last May it moved to my liver. Some of the tumours in my liver have got slightly bigger, which is why I’m on chemo tablets now. I take four in the morning and four at night.

“I have a CT scan coming up and after that I’ll get the results from my oncologist.”

She added: “Every time, I worry if it’s spread again. I’m scared of dying.

“There’s so much to live for. You realise that when you’ve been through all that I have. Every day is a gift.”

While speaking alongside her sister Anne Nolan, 70, who has fought two separate bouts of breast cancer since 2001 before being told she was cancer-free last year, Linda explained she doesn’t want her siblings to become her carers.

She revealed: “I’ve decided I would go into a hospice, I live on my own, I don’t want them to become my carers, I want them to turn up with gin and chocolate.

“And the nurses can have done all the messy bits, but I don’t want to die on my own.

“So I might put them on a 24 hour watch.”

Anne also shared her heartache of seeing her younger sister get an incurable prognosis, while knowing that she is free of the disease.

The singer explained to OK! Magazine: “I wish Linda had the same results I had.

“Finding out I’m cancer-free has definitely been bittersweet.”

Linda and her sister Anne are set to release a joint memoir about their cancer fight.

The book, entitled Stronger Together, will be available to buy on April 15.

The siblings were diagnosed with cancer days apart last year.

Linda’s husband Brian Hudson and another sister, Bernie Nolan, were both taken by cancer within six years of each other.

She recently detailed that she and her sisters were raised Catholic and she has been thinking about whether there’s an afterlife -and whether she’ll get to see Brian and Bernie again.

Meanwhile Linda has launched her own gin, insisting her cancer won’t stop her from fulfilling her business ambitions.

She’s named it Hudson’s Gin, in tribute to husband Brian, using his last name.
