Joel Dommett met his now-wife Hannah Cooper shortly after he appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! back in 2016. Model Hannah slid into his DMs following his appearance on the ITV reality show and the couple soon hit it off.
However, she has since shared her first impression of the TV star.
Hannah thought the comedian, 36, was fibbing about his location, after heading straight to Kenya following his stint in the Australian jungle.
He sent her an amusing picture to prove he really was in the East African country, but he’d photoshopped it for comedy value.
“I don’t know how we are married,” Hannah joked as she recalled the exchange on Alan Carr’s Life’s a Beach podcast.
“I slid into Joel’s DMs and I think probably the third message back, he dropped in, ‘So the wifi’s really bad here because I’m in Kenya’ and I was like, ‘Oh, who is this guy?’
“And I was like, you were just in the I’m A Celeb jungle in Australia and you’re trying to fool me to think that you’re in Kenya, like four days later.
“I was like, ‘Who does this guy think he is?'” she continued.
“And then, you photoshopped your face onto a guy riding a rhino,” Hannah went on to add, recalling an image Joel had sent her.
“See, I’m in Kenya!” Joel chipped in.
“I don’t know how we are married,” Hannah amusingly added.
The couple tied the knot in 2019 after three years of dating.
The Masked Singer presenter really had travelled to Kenya straight after his stint on Ant and Dec’s programme, as he was filming a travel show with Nish Kumar.

Joel & Nish vs The World aired the following year on Comedy Central.
The funnyman’s career has gone from strength to strength since his time in the jungle.
He currently fronts ITV’s prime time show The Masked Singer and spin-off show The Masked Dancer.
Joel is also set to host new dating show The Love Trap.
The brutal Channel 4 programme will see rejected contestants dropped through a trapdoor.
In addition to the new eight-part series, the presenter is also appearing in Celebrity Gogglebox.
He told fans, via Instagram, that he was “super excited” to be on the show with his wife.
“THE DREAM,” he added.
