Emma Willis has taken to Instagram to share her heartbreak over Sarah Harding’s tragic death. The Big Brother presenter worked with Sarah when the Girls Aloud star was a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017.

Sarah went on to win the show after reaching the final two alongside The X Factor’s Amelia Lily.

Emma decided to pay tribute to the singer, who died at the age of 39 of breast cancer, by re-sharing a backstage snap she took with Sarah, following her CBB triumph.

The presenter posted the photo to her Instagram Stories this evening, which showed her celebrating with Sarah at the final, alongside a broken heart emoji.

Sarah and Emma could be seen holding hands while beaming for the camera.

The duo raised their hands up to the ceiling while posing together in front of a sparkly backdrop.

The snap, which Emma had shared with her 1.8 million followers at the time, was originally captioned: “There she is! Go on @sarahnicoleharding #CBBFinal.”

Sarah entered the Big Brother House alongside stars including Sam Thompson, Amelia Lily and Gogglebox’s Sandi Bogle.

The star also found romance on the show with US TV star Chad Johnson.

However, the couple went on to split a few months after the show ended due to the long distance between them.

Chad recently shared his sadness after finding out about his ex-girlfriend’s death and addressed her unfulfilled dream of becoming a mum.

He told The Sun: “Sarah wanted to be a mum but she never got to do that.

“That feels very sad for me. I always thought Sarah would have been an amazing mum.

“She had such a motherly vibe, she was very caring towards the people she loved. And she loved children.

“She would have been obsessed with her kids in the best way. It was just in her nature.”

Celebrity Big Brother host Emma’s heartfelt Instagram tribute comes after Sarah’s mum Marie announced the sad news of her death on Sunday afternoon.

Marie wrote on her daughter’s official Instagram page: “It’s with deep heartbreak that today I’m sharing the news that my beautiful daughter Sarah has sadly passed away.

“Many of you will know of Sarah’s battle with cancer and that she fought so strongly from her diagnosis until her last day.

“She slipped away peacefully this morning. I’d like to thank everyone for their kind support over the past year. It meant the world to Sarah and it gave her great strength and comfort to know she was loved.

“I know she won’t want to be remembered for her fight against this terrible disease – she was a bright shining star and I hope that’s how she can be remembered instead.- Marie x”.

Sarah found out she had advanced breast cancer last August and underwent a mastectomy and chemotherapy in the hopes of prolonging her life.
