The Punch’s pricing will be revealed only on October 20, the day of its launch.
SUVs are what everyone is looking for nowadays…
Be it small, medium or large. The extra ground clearance needed for Indian roads has made this category a bigger seller than the rest.
So it’s no surprise when Tata Motors, who once had the king of SUVs on Indian Roads, the TATA Safari, came out with their new offering in its Micro SUV segment.
The Tata Punch was unveiled on Monday and will be launched on October 20.
Finally revealed officially, after its debut as the HBX Compact SUV as a concept car in the 2020 Auto Expo held in Greater Noida, is available for bookings on the Tata Motors website for a booking amount of Rs 21,000.
The Tata Punch will be available in 4 trims — or ‘Personas’ as Tata Motors calls it.
Pure Persona for customers who appreciate minimalism and simplicity.
Adventure Persona for customers with a streak of adventure and love for the outdoors.
Accomplished Persona for the city dweller who loves to make a style statement with every drive.
Creative Persona for the digital natives, who want to be always connected and prefer information at their fingertips.
What’s interesting is that one can opt for the Pure Persona, and customise it using packs offered by Tata Motors which get you a 4″ infotainment screen, steering audio controls and 4 speakers for a cost.
These four trims will be available in a wide range of 7 single & dual-tone colour options that one can choose from. The colours are Orcus White, Daytona Grey, Tropical Mist, Atomic Orange, Meteor Bronze, Tornado Blue and Calypso Red.
The interiors of the Tata Punch promise to be spacious and premium with a commanding driver position.
This is the first SUV from Tata Motors, built on ALFA-ARC (Agile Light Flexible Advanced Architecture), developed under its Impact 2.0 design language.
According to Tata motors the Punch is a no-compromise SUV designed for the next generation users, offering an exciting mix of tough utility with sporting dynamics.
The Tata Punch will get a ground clearance of 190mm, making it perform better on bad roads, and a New Gen 1.2 Revotron BS6 Gasoline Engine which will give out 86 PS Power and 113 Nm of torque.
You will get an AMT option as well at launch with a segment first, Traction- Pro Mode which enables a breezy drive through treacherous driving conditions, in situations where one of the wheels gets stuck in mud or low traction surfaces.
Also added is a 370 mm water wading capability. Along with a host of these features, it also comes loaded with top-of-the-line safety features to ensure active and passive safety of the driver and the passengers.
The Punch’s pricing will be revealed on October 20.
