SS Rajamouli’ directorial venture RRR starring Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt and Olivia Morris wins yet another award. Recently we reported that SS Rajamouli won the best director award at the New York Film Critics Society Awards. Now, RRR which is bankrolled by DVV Danayya under the banner of DVV Entertainment has won another award and this time around, at the Boston Society of Film Critics. It is announced that RRR won the award – Boston Society of Film Critics for the best original score.
Boston Society of Film Critics Twitter handle made a post, “WINNER, Best Original Score: RRR (by M. M. Keeravani). Runner Up: WOMEN TALKING (by Hildur Guðnadóttir)” .
A pre-Independence fictional story, RRR stars Mega Power Star Ram Charan and Young Tiger Jr NTR as real-life Indian revolutionaries in the 1920s Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, respectively.
Released theatrically in March, RRR earned over Rs1,200 crore at the global box office. The Hindi version of RR premiered on Netflix on 20th May. Recently SS Rajamouli confirmed that he is expanding the RRR franchise. He had said, “My father Vijayendra Prasad is story writer for all my films. We discussed a bit about RRR 2 and he is working on the story.”
