Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has allotted Rs 2 cr funds for each MLA and Rs 20 lakh to each village secretariat for taking up development works. AP CM directed district collectors to speed up relief work in flood-hit villages of Godavari river area and give 2,000 to each family in the relief camps besides providing them all essential commodities.
Jagan Mohan Reddy, who held a virtual review meeting with the district collectors from his Tadepalli camp office yesterday, asked the officials of all departments concerned to take flood relief operations as a challenge and ensure that there are no complaints from the people on relief works.
CM Jagan held a workshop on Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutwam program at CM camp office in Tadepalli. Jagan said, “About 87 % of families availed the government welfare schemes. We can win all 175 seats with the support of the beneficiaries.” Jagan added that each MLA should visit seven secretariats per month and should participate in Gadapa Gadapaku programme for a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 21 days in the next one month.
Jagan Mohan Reddy has also finalised the names of candidates to contest for MLCs from Graduate constituencies. The sources say that Syam Prasad Reddy of Gudur will be the Party Graduate MLC candidate from former Prakasam, Nellore and Chittoor districts, V Ravi will be the candidate for Kurnool, Kadapa and Ananthapur districts whereas S Sudhakar, Brahman Corporation Chairman, will contest from the joint Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts.
