Fire breaks out at Amara Raja plant in Andhra Pradesh

A massive fire broke out in the Amara Raja Battery factory in Andhra Pradesh‘s Chittoor district . This accident took place on Monday evening. The fire was first observed at 8.05 pm,  but prompt action by the company’s on-site personnel ensured that all employees were safely evacuated from the area. It is reported that around 250 workers were working in the plant at that time.

Immediately after receiving the information about the accident, the fire brigade reached there. The fire was extinguished with four fire engines. The police went to the spot and inquired about the cause of the accident. Based on the complaint of the owner, the police have registered a case and are investigating.

 The police revealed that there were no immediate reports of any casualties. Nearly 250 workers were at Amara Raja Battery factory at the time of the fire and all have been evacuated safely. There was no damage to the building, property or industrial equipment, nor were there any casualties, the company clarified.

4 fire tenders were rushed to the plant to douse the fire. Huge flames with smoke were seen coming out of the plant.

Meanwhile, the owner of Amara Raja Battery factory said that immediately after the accident, all the workers were evacuated safely. It said that there was no loss of life. Many people got minor injuries. The fire is believed to have occurred due to a short circuit.
