The Twitter Blue subscription with verification was relaunched yesterday and people needed a verified phone number to sign up, as Elon Musk announced that he would remove all legacy blue badges in coming months. The subscription service will give users access to the premium features including the blue tick, ability to post 1080p videos, edit tweets and a lot more.
Elon Musk launched the first iteration of the Twitter Blue back in the month of June but recalled it in one day due to increased verified fake accounts on the platform.
Recently the company stated in a tweet: We’re relaunching Twitter Blue on Monday – subscribe on web for $8/month or on iOS for $11/month to get access to subscriber-only features, including the blue checkmark.
According to the official pricing set by Elon Musk’s Twitter, the blue tick subscription will cost $8 per month for the web users, while those who are signing up through Apple devices (iOS) will be charged $11 per month for exclusive features.
Twitter Blue is not an ad free subscription, while the silver lining for the users will be that they will only see about half ads on social media platform. The company is expected to reveal more details on same once Blue subscription is live for all.
