KCR’ BRS is set to witness its first joining of leaders from outside Telangana, with a few former bureaucrats from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh likely to wear the party scarves on Monday. Jana Sena Party got a huge shock as two of its key leaders, Ex IAS officer Thota Chandrasekhar and former minister Ravela Kishore Babu, decided to join KCR’ BRS, which is making its foray into AP.
If Thota Chandrasekhar joins BRS, he might also be made the party President of Andhra affairs. The reports are also coming that a few retired bureaucrats are also in talks to join BRS and KCR is said to be negotiating the discussion. Party president and Chief Minister KCR is likely to welcome them into the party.
In the past Thota Chandrasekhar was in the Pawan Kalyan’ Jana Sena Party as general secretary and in 2019, he contested as an MLA for Guntur West constituency and received 27,869 votes.
Another Andhra Pradesh leader, Chintala Partha Sarathi, who was formerly a Jana Sena member, will also join from BJP, as BRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao looks to expand the BRS in neighbouring states to achieve national party status.
