2 Pakistan based JeM terrorists killed in encounter in Jammu

Two terrorists and a security personnel were killed in a gunfight near the Army camp on the outskirts of Jammu and Kashmir. This incident took place on Friday two days ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Samba district.

J&K DGP Dilbag Singh  said to media that Two Pakistan based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists planned suicide attacks killed. This is part of a larger conspiracy to disturb peace in Jammu  and  sabotage the PM’s visit to the region.

Two JeM terrorists from Pakistan have been neutralised in an encounter that broke out after security forces launched a search operation in the area adjacent to the sprawling Sunjwan military station in Jammu and Kashmir  early Friday. One of the terrorists had worn a suicidal vest and had planned a fidayeen attack.

The sources revealed that nine security personnel were also injured in the operation in Sunjwan area. As a precautionary measure, Mobile internet services were suspended and schools in the vicinity of the encounter site were closed for a day.

The police said that the gunfight started when terrorists opened fire on the search party. The ADGP revealed that 2 terrorists were killed. They were carrying a huge quantity of arms and ammunition, that suggested that they were planning a fidayeen attack which was averted.
