Zendaya and Tom Holland 'ignored' producer's dating advice, more news

‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ producer warned Tom Holland and Zendaya not to date

After watching previous Peter Parkers fall for their respective leading ladies in real life, “Spider-Man: No Way Home” producer Amy Pascal says she urged Tom Holland and Zendaya not to take their characters’ romance offscreen. Clearly, she didn’t get too far with her warning. “I took Tom and Zendaya aside, separately, when we first cast them and gave them a lecture,” Amy recently told The New York Times. “Don’t go there — just don’t. Try not to,” she recalled telling the stars when they were cast in 2017’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” Tom and Zendaya confirmed their romance to GQ earlier this year. Previous stars of the franchise who ended up dating in real life include Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, who dated from 2011 until 2015, and Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst, whose IRL romance reportedly began in 2001. “I gave the same advice to Andrew and Emma,” Amy added. “It can just complicate things, you know? And they all ignored me.”

Kim Kardashian, Pete Davidson enjoy Staten Island date night, mull holiday plans

Kim Kardashian West’s getting to know Pete Davidson’s family and hometown borough just in time for the holidays. With the live component of “Saturday Night Live” on hold due to the COVID-19 spike, Pete, 28, had a rare night off on Dec. 18. He took advantage of the downtime by taking Kim, 40, to a movie, followed by dinner on Staten Island. According to local news outlet SILive.com, the couple checked out “Spider-Man: No Way Home” before heading to Angelina’s Ristorante with a 10-person entourage that included Scott Disick and plenty of security. In addition to dining on pasta, Kim, Pete and Scott reportedly met the waterfront eatery’s owner, Vincent Malerba, and Vincent’s mom, Angelina. Prior to their date-night, Kim reportedly spent “several hours” hanging out with Pete’s mom, Amy, and sister, Casey. The get-together “went really well,” asource later told HollywoodLife. At this point, Pete, who’s already said to be tight with Kim’s mom, Kris Jenner, seems likely to join Kim at her family’s annual Christmas party. There’s a good chance Kim’s ex, Kanye West, will be there as well, according to E! News. The outlet’s sources also say Kim is also considering a New Year’s Eve trip to Miami, where Pete’s set to co-host NBC and Peacock’s holiday special with Miley Cyrus. The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum was first linked to the “SNL” star in October amid her divorce from Kanye (and Ye’s public pleas to take him back). Kim reportedly filed to be declared legally single and drop the name “West” earlier this month.

Kanye West makes huge toy drive donation in Chicago amid claims he owes Big Sean $6M

Kanye West is giving back to his hometown ahead of the holidays. Chicago’s WGN-TV reports the rapper and designer played a pivotal role in a Dec. 19 toy giveaway in the Windy City’s Englewood neighborhood, donating “the majority of more than 4,000 toys” local children received at the holiday event, which also included games and a visit from Santa. “He is no stranger to our community,” Chicago alderman Stephanie Coleman told the outlet. Dubbing Kanye the city’s “hometown hero,” Stephanie added, “…we want to thank him for understanding that children in Englewood, and on the South Side and in Chicago in general, some will be without this holiday. Some are without their fathers due to gun violence, due to mass incarceration, so today, we are here being a blessing.” While ‘Ye’s generosity made headlines in Chicago over the weekend, his former G.O.O.D. Music label signee, rapper Big Sean, had some less savory things to say about Kanye on the latest edition of Revolt TV’s “Drink Champs” podcast. Responding to negative comments ‘Ye made about Sean on a previous episode, Sean claimed he “put at least $30 million in [Kanye’s] pocket or more, and he owes me money.” He went on to estimate Kanye and G.O.O.D. Music owe him $6 million, but says he’s unsure if the alleged debt is “even on [Kanye’s] radar.” Sean further accused Kanye of failing to return his masters to him when Sean left the label.

Britney Spears’ father and former business manager reportedly made millions via her conservatorship

Did Britney Spears’ former business manager, Lou Taylor, and father, Jamie Spears, use the singer’s estate to make themselves rich? New information reported by The New York Times on Dec. 19 indicates both Lou and Jamie “benefited” financially from the conservatorship Jamie placed his daughter under for 13 years beginning in 2008. Lawyers for Lou, her companies and Jamie, have all denied wrongdoing. But the Times details how Lou’s collaboration with Jamie allowed her Tri Star Sports & Entertainment Group to expand, bringing in “millions” of dollars for both Lou and Jamie. The report also shows Jamie took out a $40,000 loan with Tri Star just days after he put his daughter under the conservatorship he would go on to manage. That debt raises questions about a serious conflict of interest, one conservatorship expert told the Times. The report also shows Jamie kicked off the conservatorship he claimed Britney needed because she was mentally unstable by booking her on the “Circus” tour, with Lou’s Tri Star company navigating all of the tour’s finances and accounting. “Circus” reportedly grossed $130 million, after which Tri Star began the process of taking over Britney’s estate to handle even more of her assets. Although the conservatorship was terminated last month, Britney’s lawyer is currently investigating questions around how and where the singer’s money was spent.

In honor of the anniversary, original cast members Courteney Cox, David Arquette and Neve Campbell paid tribute to late director Wes Craven in a special behind-the-scenes featurette from Paramount Pictures. The segment, titled “For Wes,” features the stars reflecting on their work with the horror flick mastermind as well as the ways he’s honored in the upcoming fifth installment of the “Scream” franchise. “Wes Craven, you always think of him as the king of horror,” Courteney says in the clip (via People). “He is an incredible director, but he is also an incredible human.” After David admits, “I might start crying when we start talking about Wes,” Neve chimes in to explain, “He was like a father, in a lot of ways, to all of us.” Neve goes on to say she was “apprehensive about doing another [‘Scream’ movie] without Wes,” but decided to take on the project when she saw how “Scream 5” filmmmakers Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett “really wanted to honor” the late director.”We are fans on a level that is hard to express,” Tyler says of Wes, who died on Aug. 30, 2015. The new film, which original “Scream” writer Kevin Williamson described to ET as “a love letter to Wes, hits theaters Jan. 14.
