Wendy Williams’ Ex Kevin Hunter’s Demand for Her to Continue Alimony Denied by Judge

The former executive producer of ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ previously told the court that his monthly payments promised in their divorce suddenly stopped in February last year amid his ex-wife’s financial troubles.

AceShowbizWendy Williams‘ ex-husband Kevin Hunter apparently will no longer accept alimony payments from her. The former daytime TV queen’s divorce judge has shut down her ex’s demand for the host to continue making alimony payments.

The Sun reported on Monday, February 6 that the judge stated the former “The Wendy Williams Show” host’s financial guardian will not have to resume cutting his alimony checks. The judge found that Kevin’s request was “not emergent” and ordered his “application to be dismissed without prejudice.”

The judge also denied Kevin’s request for attorney fees to be paid by Wendy. However, Kevin’s fight for Wendy’s payments is not completely over. The judge said while they don’t consider his demand for alimony payments an emergency, he can still take his case to mediation.

“The parties are to participate in binding arbitration,” the judge said. “The issues surrounding the severance payments, and the QDRO [Qualified Domestic Relations Order] are disputed and therefore need to be mediated.”

Kevin initially told a New Jersey court that his monthly payments promised in their divorce suddenly stopped in February 2022. Kevin asked that the court order Wendy’s guardian “to make payments as contractually required under the MSA and Severance Agreement.”

Then in November last year, Kevin issued a statement via Instagram that read, “This don’t have nothing to do with Wendy but has everything to do with the people trying to steal Hard earned money that I worked for and help build.” He further explained, “I have a slew of experts to help substantiate all my claims and I’m tired of the bulls**t.”

“I didn’t forfeit as much as I did for my son to go through this,” Kevin went on adding. The former “The Wendy Williams Show” executive producer then concluded his message as saying, “Miss me with the double standard s**t as well ITS ON!!!!”

Wendy was placed in a financial guardianship last year after Wells Fargo Bank froze her accounts over concerns that she “was of unsound mind,” and the bank suspected “financial exploitation, dementia, or undue influence.”
