19-year-old Tilly Ramsay has revealed she is single, but is adamant that she is taking part in Strictly to “focus on dancing”, rather than anything else. It comes amid speculation surrounding the young star and her close relationship with her professional dance partner Nikita Kuzmin, 23, but she appeared to be keen to squash those rumours.
Tilly, who is the daughter of TV chef Gordon Ramsay, has wowed the judges so far with her impressive dance moves alongside partner Nikita.
On Saturday night, the pair’s lively Charleston sent them straight to the top of the leaderboard, with two eights and two nines giving them the overall score of 34.
The only other couple to score so highly in a single week so far are AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington, who lit up the dance floor in week one with their highly energetic Jive.
This means that the two new professional male dancers to join the Strictly line-up are both in the highest-scoring pairings of this year’s competition, which is a positive sign for the show’s future.

Despite the fact that Nikita is in a relationship, however, his on-screen chemistry with Tilly has caused some doubt over whether the couple might fall foul to the infamous Strictly “curse”.
When asked about her own relationship status, Tilly explained: “Yes, I am single but I’m here to focus on dancing.
“I’d have been crazy to say no to Strictly Come Dancing.
“It really is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and most importantly I really want to learn to dance,” she told OK! Magazine.
The rumours surrounding Tilly and Nikita began to circulate after the dancer’s girlfriend of five years, Nicole Wirt, posted a cryptic message on Instagram.
She took a photo of herself at the hair salon with the caption: “Practice gratitude daily and see your view over your life shift for the better.
“Stop complaining so much over things you can’t change or control.
“Stay healthy & beautiful as you are guys.”

In spite of fans questioning the meaning behind her cryptic words, the couple still appear to be loved up and there has been nothing else to suggest that Nicole feels uncomfortable with the pairing.
She also recently showed her support for Tilly and Nikita on Instagram.
Nikita is originally from Ukraine but grew up in Italy, while professional dancer Nicole is based in Frankfurt, Germany.
Not much is known about the couple’s relationship, but both their Instagram pages show them first sharing the dance floor back in 2016 in Zurich, when they won first place in Amateur Latin.
Meanwhile, doting dad Gordon, 54, has had nothing but praise for his daughter’s stint on Strictly so far, although the Hell’s Kitchen host did tell Nikita to “do his shirt up” in one amusing clip from the launch show.
The father-of-five also took to social media to say: “Wishing these two the very best of luck ahead of tonight’s LIVE dance @tillyramsay @nikita__kuzmin @bbcstrictly.
“So proud of you Tills, love you from your dance coach extraordinaire Dad.”
Nikita started dancing at the age of four and is already a six-time Italian Champion in Latin and Ballroom, suggesting that he is a safe pair of hands for the promising young novice.
The dancer also previously joined the German version of Strictly called Let’s Dance as a professional dancer, which means he’s no stranger to the glitz and glam of dancing on live TV.
