Stacey Solomon quits social media in bid to ‘soak up’ wedding to Joe Swash

Stacey Solomon has announced that she will be quitting social media for a few days in a bid to "soak up" her wedding to Joe Swash.

The Loose Women panellist is said to be having "relaxed private blessing" in front of their close friends and family at their home of Pickle Cottage.

In an Instagram post shared on Sunday 24 July, the beauty penned: "Just wanted to take a moment to say. Thank you for your beautiful messages and the kindest well wishes ever.

"Thank you for all your advise and tips.

"One of the pieces of advise all of you told me was to soak it all in and enjoy every second because it's over in a flash."

"So I'm going to say goodbye to my phone for a few days," Stacey went on. "And make sure I talk in every moment. The set up. The getting ready. The day. And the aftermath.

"I love you all lots and lots [heart emoji] Thank you for your kindness always. Lots and lots of love from. Joe. Harry. Zachary. Leighton. Rex & Rose – and me – soon to be Solomon Swash."

The mum-of-four has spent months preparing for her big day. From her stunning front door transformation and making wedding lanterns from recycled Christmas decorations to a very unique globe guest book, the DIY genius has made sure every little wedding detail is handmade with love.

She's also ditched her flaming red hair to go back to being blonde – and most incredible of all, she dyed it herself at home.

While most brides-to-be opt for the salon chair, Stacey has taken the DIY route with a £10 L’Oréal Paris box dye and at the same time unveiled herself as the latest celebrity face of the beauty brand.

Sharing the incredible finished result, the new L'Oréal gal said: "I love home dye kits because they’re so easy and affordable when you fancy a new look.

"I’m really excited to be blonde again."

Speaking about her dream big day on Loose Women in 2016, Stacey admitted that she'd been planning her wedding since she was a child. And discussing her envisaged gown, she confessed: "I imagine myself being a Disney princess."

In one of the star's recent posts, she revealed her baby daughter’s dress will be made from scraps of her own bridal gown along with mummy-and-me shoes.

She wrote: “Rose’s dress is being made from the off cuts of my dress [crying emoji].

"So I wanted to make her some shoes to match mine. So I brought glittery bows from Etsy and stuck them on her baby shoes [well-up-eye emoji] Now we fully match [crying emoji].”
