Snoop Dogg’s Daughter Cori Broadus Doesn’t Have to Undergo Chemotherapy After Kidney Biopsy

The 23-year-old singer, who was diagnosed with lupus when she was just 6 years old, reveals that her health condition is at stage 3 out of 5 and that the disease is still reversible.

AceShowbizSnoop Dogg‘s daughter has shared a positive update on her health condition. Cori Broadus recently underwent a surgery where a small piece of kidney tissue was removed to analyze any abnormalities. On Monday, February 20, she took to Instagram to inform her followers about her biopsy results.

“Just got off the phone w my rheumatologist, and these are the results from the biopsy,” she captioned the post, which included highlights on her current health condition. She mentioned that her health condition is being at stage 3 out of 5. “3 is mild but still active,” she wrote.

“I would’ve had to take chemotherapy if I was at 4,” Cori explained. While doctors recommended she start Benlysta treatment, consisting of a shot once a month or by injection every week, the 23-year-old seemed to have been assured that her condition was still at a reversible stage.

“They were at stage 4 when I was younger which is why they were treating me aggressively recently so they wanted to be safe,” the young singer added. “Kidneys are okay just inflamed,” she shared, before concluding that she needs to “keep taking Cell Cept and checking blood pressure everyday.”

Cori revealed last year that she was diagnosed with lupus when she was just 6 years old. “So my immune system is super weak. I [have] experienced hair loss, so my mom came home one day with a bunch of scarves, and we were playing in scarves and just trying them [in] different ways,” she said back in September 2022.

Two months later, Cori announced her engagement to her longtime boyfriend Wayne Duece. She shared on Instagram a photo of her diamond-encrusted engagement ring, with a backdrop that read, “Will you marry me?”

“The easiest YES ever @wayneduece I love you so much and can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with youu,” she captioned the post.
