Former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan, 56, has once again taken to Twitter to blast the Duke of Sussex for a reported book deal, following suggestions that he’s set to write four in total, worth up to a reported £29 million. The star didn’t hold back as he lashed out and branded Prince Harry a “greedy twerp” for his 7.9 million followers to see, after a representative for the Sussexes denied the claims.

The outspoken media personality was responding to claims that the Duke of Sussex’s reported book deal isn’t just for one, but four books.

The first, his memoir, will be published next year during the Queen’s platinum jubilee.

In addition to his memoir, the Daily Mail reported that the senior member of the royal family will pen two more books, and his wife Meghan Markle is set to write one on “wellness”.

The publication also reported that Prince Harry personally oversaw the bidding for his book deal from publishing houses himself, with the price starting at a rumoured £18 million, with the highest price possibly being £11 million more.

The second of the four books is reported to be held back until after the Queen’s death, according to the report, which a Sussex rep has claimed to be untrue.

Sources added that the Prince reportedly oversaw the bidding for the book deal from his home in Montecito, California, via video call, with two published by his side

However, upon hearing the claims of the Duke’s lucrative book deal, the former GMB host blasted the royal once again.

The star wrote: “Prince Privacy! What a hypocritical greedy twerp.”

Speaking about the auction, sources said: “He [Harry] conducted negotiations – he had a very ‘take it or leave it’ attitude,’ said an impeccably-placed source in the publishing industry.

“Those involved were actually very shocked by his approach, which was to look at them coldly and state his demands – $25million,” according to the Daily Mail account.

The insider went on to add that despite it being unclear what the fourth book will entail, people are “shocked” about the Prince’s insistence that his second book hold off being published until the Queen has died.

“People [will] start asking, ‘What has he got, who is he going to target?’ The very idea of this unexploded bomb, hanging about waiting for the Queen to pass, is just extraordinary and may strike many as being in very bad taste,” they added.

However, Prince Harry’s response to the source’s claim has been reported by Omid Scobie, the co-author of the Sussexes biography Finding Freedom.

He wrote on Twitter: “A report claiming Prince Harry is holding back a second book (of a multi-title deal) for after the Queen’s death seems to be wide of the mark.

“A Sussex rep says there’s NO project coordinated around such an event, adding that it would be factually inaccurate to suggest otherwise.”

The Daily Mail reported the source making the new claims surrounding Prince Harry’s book deal.

The news of the Duke of Sussex’s publication was announced days ago by Penguin Random House on Twitter.

The publishing house wrote: “Breaking news! Random House is honored to announce a forthcoming memoir by Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, to be published globally in late 2022.”

The announcement included a picture of a quote from Harry, which read: “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.”

Upon hearing the news for the first time, Piers wrote: “You’ve got to be f***ing joking?????”
