Love Island star Tanyel’s feud with Olivia Hawkins that wasn’t aired on the show

Love Island star Tanyel Revan has revealed a secret feud with islander Olivia Hawkins, which wasn't aired on the show, after her departure from the dating programme.

Hair stylist Tanyel, 26, was coupled up with Kai Fagan, 24, until the PE teacher decided he wanted to pursue his feelings for Olivia, 27, by getting to know her better.

Tanyel spoke of her thoughts about the situation with Maya Jama, 28, on Aftersun, saying: "I wasn't going to be selfish, I just thought, 'I'd rather you be happy.' She was a good friend to me at the time, so I thought, 'Do your thing.'"

When Maya followed up on her "at the time" comment, Tanyel continued: "We don't know yet. I need to see it for myself, but I've heard a few things."

Maya asked whether the love triangle with Kai had affected her and Olivia's friendship, admitting she had noticed the tension between the two girls.

"Not on my behalf. I was truly happy for her. I felt like I was really selfless in the situation. I wanted her to be happy," she said.

"She's never had a relationship before. I just wanted her to be happy. I didn't care, genuinely, because I knew I wasn't going to try anything with him."

Tanyel went on to say: "I was completely fine with him, friendly. It was more problems on her side of things that I didn't even know about. It was more things I was hearing about at the time."

The star also shed a light on her bond with Ron Hall, who fought back tears when she was sent home amongst the speculation that they had romantic feelings for each other.

Viewers speculated the pair had deeper feelings when Ron – who has his eyes set on Lana Jenkins – asked Tanyel to "spoon" in bed with him after Tanyel gave him a lap dance during the heart rate challenge.

"I'm so happy! I want them to win the show," Tanyel said of Ron and Lana, both 25.

"I said to him when I was leaving, 'If you let me down, that's our friendship done.'"

She continued: "I'm so happy they're together. I feel like they're the strongest couple and they have the most genuine feelings for each other. I hope he won't let me down!"

Tanyel was dumped from the villa on Thursday night’s show after she wasn’t chosen by one of the boys to couple up with.

Tanyel was one of the originals in this year's villa, alongside Olivia, Lana, Kai, Tanya Manhenga, 23, and Shaq Muhammad, 24.

After not being picked by Jordan Odofin, 28, who instead chose to save Ellie Spence, 25, Tanyel said in her exit interview: “Going into the fire pit, I just had a weird feeling that I was going to be leaving the Villa.

"I like Jordan as a person, but I knew that if he had chosen to couple up with me, I’d have been forcing it. I knew there was no spark.”
