‘High School Musical’ Series Cast Performs at D23 Expo, Reveals Season 4 Plot Details!

The cast of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series took to the stage at the 2022 D23 Expo over the weekend!

Sofia Wylie, Joshua Bassett and Matt Cornett performed “Love Is An Open Door” from Frozen before Dara Renee, Julia Lester, Joe Serafini, Larry Saperstein, Frankie Rodriguez, Adrian Lyles, Liamani Segura and Saylor Bell joined them for a performance of “High School Musical” from High School Musical 3: Senior Year.

While appearing at the expo, new plot details were revealed for the show’s upcoming fourth season!

The show’s next season, which starts production this month (!!!!), will see the Wildcats putting on a stage production of High School Musical 3: Senior Year. They will also find out that Disney will be making the long-awaited High School Musical 4: The Reunion on-location at their very own East High. The Wildcats will be playing featured extras in the movie.

This news has fans freaking out as an HSM4 was originally supposed to made, before being scrapped. But, a lot of people are taking this a sign since Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens have BOTH been seen at East High in Salt Lake City this past summer, where the movies and show are filmed.

This does NOT confirm, however, that any of the OGs will be in the upcoming season. We will just have to wait and see. Lucas Grabeel, Kaycee Stroh and Corbin Bleu have all made appearances in the Disney+ show already.

Stay tuned as we find out more details on HSMTMTS season four!
