Emmerdale star Charley Webb has taken to Instagram to share a “hellish” update this afternoon while admitting she’s “feeling sorry” for herself. The Debbie Dingle character, 33, explained she is suffering from a “cold sore from hell”, but was looking after herself away from her husband Matthew Wolfenden and three children.

In view of her 549,000 followers, Charley explained why she isn’t feeling her best.

She wrote: “Cold sore from hell.”

However the actress revealed she had her friend and Emmerdale co-star Emma Atkins looking after her while she rested.

Charley went on: “I’ve got in @missemmaatkins’ bed so she can look after me while I feel sorry for myself.

“She’s actually like my real mother.”

She explained: “Ace is down for his nap, Matthew is at home.

“I haven’t just left him before some of you panic,” the star added.

Charley shared a forlorn looking snap of herself as she posed for a selfie.

The actress revealed she was able to spend time resting away from her husband-of-four years Matthew and her three sons, Buster, 11, Bowie, six, and Ace, three.

Earlier this month, the TV star spoke candidly about having more children in the future.

Speaking in a Q&A session on Instagram, the soap star admitted that she wasn’t done having babies just yet.

“Are you going to have any more bubbas? Xx,” the question read.

Charley replied, saying: “People say you know when you’re done having babies.

“I don’t feel that way. I’m actually really broody at the moment but it’s just not quite the right time.”

In the same live session the star broke her silence over whether or not she had left the Dales following her short stint back on screen last year.

Last year saw Charley reprise her role as Debbie Dingle for just over two months last year after going on maternity leave in 2019.

The star has remained quiet on whether or not she ever officially left the ITV soap, but has now set the record straight.

Charley told her followers: “This is always my most asked question, but I’ve never answered it before because I’ve never wanted to make a big deal of it.

“I left to have Ace two years ago. I went back at the end of last year for 10 weeks to complete a storyline.

“So, I guess officially it’s been a year. I never felt the need to announce it which is why we didn’t,” she explained.
