Dave Grohl And Daughter Violet Cover X’s ‘Nausea’

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and his eldest daughter Violet teamed up for a cover of X‘s 1980 track “Nausea.”

The cover was recorded at the singer’s home studio and will feature in his upcoming documentary What Drives Us.

“Nausea” is a track from American rock band X’s debut album Los Angeles, which was released on April 26, 1980 by Slash Records.

“Tonight you’ll fall asleep in clothes/ So late like a candy bar wrapped up/ For lunch that’s all you get to taste/ Poverty and spit/ Poverty and spit,” Violet sings before Grohl joins on the chorus, “Nausea/ Bloody red eyes go to nausea/ Bloody red eyes go to sleep.”

This isn’t’ the first time that the dad-daughter pair have teamed up for a cover. In January 2020, Violet and Grohl along with the other surviving members of NirvanaKrist Novoselic and Pat Smear – and Beck and St. Vincent performed “Heart-Shaped Box” at the Art of Elysium’s Heaven gala.
