Corrie siblings Rebecca and Jack Ryan share sweet red carpet hug amid cast night out

Coronation Street actors have been pictured enjoying a fabulously "footloose" night out as they opted to spend time together as a cast outside of work.

Taking to the red carpet at The Opera House Theatre in Manchester, siblings Rebecca and Jack James Ryan posed with their arms around each other ahead of the Footloose musical press night.

Also joining the crew was Ellie Leach, 20, who plays Faye Windass on the ITV soap.

Jack, 25, recently defended his elder sister Rebecca, 30, as she has been getting a lot of character hate since the scheming Lydia arrived on the cobbles.

But the duo looked worlds away from their Weatherfield characters this week, as they got set to enjoy a night of singing and dancing at the theatre.

Rebecca donned a pair of black jeans, matching heeled boots, and a form-fitting emerald green coat for the event, that featured a tie belt round her middle.

The actress accessorised with a black crossbody bag and plenty of gold jewels adorning her ears and fingers.

She opted for neon red nails and styled her luxe locks into a curly blow dry for the evening, finishing off the look with a glowing complexion and a slick of lipgloss.

Jack meanwhile, chose an ultra-casual ensemble as he paired a pair of white-washed baggy jeans with a black puffa jacket, finishing off with white trainers.

In contrast, their co-star Ellie beamed on the carpet as she showed off her svelte figure in a black top, leather-look trousers and a black and white dogtooth blazer for the night out.

The Faye actress wore her brunette mane in a curly tousled style, and a subtle sweep of makeup.

Jack recently said he could "relate" to the uncertain reaction to his sister's dramatic arrival on the cobbles last year, when she arrived as Adam Barlow's ex-girlfriend Lydia Chambers.

Ever since, her reign of chaos on Corrie has been tough for some fans to swallow, as Jack said he was so "proud" of his sibling for her work.

In response to a fan during his Instagram Q&A on Tuesday, the actor shared: “We're super close outside of work so it's just like getting to work with your best mate."

Adding a “side note” about his pride for Rebecca, the soap star said: "I know first hand how hard it is for the fans to get behind villains but she deserves all the love!! If you hate Lydia then you know Rebecca is doing an incredible job.

"She couldn't be any less like her character in real life, she is a literal angel.”
