Amanda Seyfried is opening up about what it was like filming her Oscar-nominated film Mank while pregnant.
The 35-year-old actress spoke with Julianne Moore during a Vanity Fair Cocktail Hour, Live! about her tough shoot for the film, per Page Six.
“I’m so glad because I love my son but I was so ill,” Amanda said. “The weekend before one of the big scenes where actually I don’t have any lines… I thought that it was going to be a little easier [even] knowing that I was going to have to be in the makeup chair at 3:30 [a.m.] on one of the days.”
“I was in bed the whole weekend thinking I don’t think I can do this. I can’t be sick and working with David Fincher and play Marion Davies at the same time,” she continued.
The only person Amanda confided in about her pregnancy was costume designer Trish Summerville, who she told, “I’m four and a half weeks pregnant, I’m not supposed to say anything but I’m bloated and I can only eat cream cheese!”
Amanda and her husband Thomas Sadoski welcomed their second child together in secret during the pandemic. They announced their son’s birth in September of 2020.
The couple are also parents to Nina, 4.
Mank is nominated for an impressive 10 Oscars this year. Check out the rest of the nominations here!
