She’s the queen of royal memorabilia.
But for 61-year-old royalist Anita Atkinson, when it comes to meeting members of the royal family, the grandmother-of-three has admitted things can get a little too excitable!
Anita said she was "really, really, really excited" about Princess Eugenie’s wedding as she spoke to This Morning’s Alison Hammond outside Windsor Castle earlier this morning.
Alison asked Anita: "Do you turn into a different woman when you meet them? Do you get star struck and excitable? I know you’ve met the Queen and spoken to her."
Anita quickly fired back: "Yeah I do and when you get to a certain age things happen, you know…"
Other members of the public burst out laughing as a shocked Alison quickly moved the conversation on like a pro, telling viewers: "Good morning everyone! A bit too much information there."
Throughout This Morning’s coverage fans were quick to praise Alison’s live reporting from Windsor.
Princess Eugenie’s wedding
Anita has been a regular at royal garden parties and often visits schools and events to talk about the history of the monarchy.
For Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding in 20011, Anita camped outside Westminster Abbey for four days to get a front row seat and years earlier she met the Queen Mother at an event at St. James’s Palace.
And she has transformed an old dairy barn on her farm near Crook in County Durham into a museum.
Royal bride Princess Eugenie shared two shy kisses with her new husband Jack Brooksbank after their lavish royal wedding ceremony.
On the West Steps of St George’s Chapel, newlyweds Eugenie and Jack beamed with delight and waved to onlookers.
The couple tentatively performed the kisses for the cameras on the steps, which were decorated with masses of autumn flowers and lined with Grenadier Guards in their distinctive red tunics and bearskin hats.
The Queen’s granddaughter Eugenie, who is ninth in line to the throne, and tequila brand ambassador Jack, said their vows in front of a star-studded congregation of 800 people.
Watching in the historic 15th-century chapel of Windsor Castle were the monarch, the Duke of Edinburgh, and more than 40 members of the royal family including the Prince of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Celebrities included Hollywood actresses Liv Tyler and Demi Moore, supermodels Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, singers Ricky Martin, Ellie Goulding and James Blunt, actor Stephen Fry, and artist Tracey Emin, as well as pop star Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field.
