Coming this March: 8 OTT releases

There’s a lot of action on the OTT platform this March, thanks to some interesting film and Web series coming up.

Joginder Tuteja lists the releases of the month.

 

The Married Woman
Where to watch: ALT Balaji and ZEE5

Release date: March 8

A sensitive tale of two women falling in love, The Married Woman is based on Manju Kapur’s novel of the same name and adapted for a Web series by ALT Balaji.

Riddhi Dogra and Monica Dogra star in principal roles in this Women’s Day release.

 

Bombay Begums
Where to watch: Netflix

Release date: March 8

Bombay Begums is directed by Alankrita Shrivastava (Lipstick Under My Burkha, Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare) and sees Pooja Bhatt making her acting comeback.

The Web series also stars Shahana Goswami, Amruta Subhash, Plabita Borthakur and Aadhya Anand.

 

Kamathipura
Where to watch: Disney + Hotstar

Release date: March 8

Though it’s been ready for a while now, Kamathipura finally gets to release in March.

It stars Tanuj Virwani in a negative role with Meerra Chopra as a cop on a mission to rescue women from the infamous red light area in Mumbai.

 

Qubool Hai 2.0
Where to watch: ZEE5

Release date: March 10

In its series of shows that are being brought into the OTT space from the satellite soap opera world, ZEE5 is now set to unleash Qubool Hai in its 2.0 version.

Karan Singh Grover and Surbhi Jyoti reprise the role played by them in the romantic drama for Zee TV, as they take forward the story in a format that is more accessible to those fond of the digital space.

 

The Wife
Where to watch: ZEE5

Release date: March 19

Gurmeet Chaudhary and Sayani Datta come together for the horror film The Wife, produced by Zee Studios.

A young couple moves into a new apartment, only to be welcomed by paranormal events that shake them up to the core.

Silence…Can You Hear It
Where to watch: ZEE5

Release date: March 26

Manoj Bajpayee has been quite busy in the OTT world, thanks to films like Mrs Serial Killer and Bhonsle.

In Silence…Can You Hear It, he will be seen as a cop.

Prachi Desai makes her acting comeback in this Web series.

 

Pagglait
Where to watch: Netflix

Release date: March 26

An Ekta Kapoor production, Pagglait will see a straight-to-OTT release with Sanya Malhotra scoring a hat-trick on this medium after Shakuntala Devi and Ludo..

Thhis comedy drama has been designed as a quirky entertainer for the family audience.

 

Tandoor
Where to watch: Ullu and MX Player

Release date: March 28

It will be a double bill for Tanuj Virwani in March, as he has another Web series coming up: Tandoor.

Based on the infamous tandoor case that shocked the nation in 1995, this one is a murder mystery.

Rashami Desai plays the female protagonist.
