Openers Siddharth N. Rao (67) and Nikhil Vedanth (68) starred as DPS South trounced Bishop Cotton Boys School by 96 runs in the semifinals of the Ace inter-school Cricket Challenge at the Just Cricket ground here on Thursday.

In Friday’s final, DPS will meet Ebenezer International School which prevailed over St. Joseph’s Boys High School, thanks to a hat-trick from left-arm spinner K. Sanjay (three for 14).

Farad passes away

Former Karnataka, HAL and junior India goalkeeper Farad passed away here on Thursday. He was 58. Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) condoled his demise.
