For the second time in its history, the Oscars, put together by the Academy, will go without a host.
Comedian Kevin Hart, who was announced as host, stepped down after homophobic tweets that he had posted years earlier surfaced. The Academy hasn’t announced a replacement for Hart.
However, it has said that the presenters will also be hosting the function. The Oscars monologues by the hosts is a tradition of sorts, with the hosts talking about a range of topics, including #MeToo, political affiliations and so on. Will the 2019 Oscars work? We’ll find out next week!
