Salman Khan to play a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan? — here’s what we know

After a gap of almost two years, Shah Rukh Khan is set to entertain us as the actor will soon kickstart the shoot of his upcoming action-thriller Pathan, which also features Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in key roles. While the Siddharth Anand directorial is touted to be mounted on a large scale, the latest reports suggest that Salman Khan will play a cameo in this YRF bankrolled movie. Well, if this news turns out to be true, it will indeed be a great surprise for fans of both the megastars.

Interestingly, Salman Khan played a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s last release, where shook a leg with his friend on Ishaqbaazi song. As per the Mumbai Mirror report, a source said, “While the November schedule will be in Mumbai with only SRK, co-stars, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham join him early next year during an overseas stint of the film. It is a battle royale between SRK and John, with Deepika playing an important thread, taking the narrative forward.” The makers are planning to wrap-up the film by June next and release it in the last quarter of 2021. The actor has been sporting long hair for his look in Pathan.

On the other hand, Salman Khan will be next seen in Prabhudheva’s Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, which also stars Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff in key roles. Talking about a sequence, Randeep earlier told Mumbai Mirror, “There is this five-minute single shot for which my co-actor, who was on the heavy side, had to jump on my back. The stunt team insisted on several takes. When we were on the 18th one, my knee gave way,” Randeep recalls that he tried hard but the pain was intense and later he was rushed to hospital. “Ironically, they finally settled for the first take.” While the actor avoids playing negative roles, he came on board because of Salman Khan’s request as he said, “I respect Salman as a person and an actor. He has a certain way of working and since we have collaborated before, I am used to it and we had a lot of fun.” He further added, “I chased Salman in Kick and coached him in Sultan. This time, I’m testing him to see how much he has learnt from me as his character hunts for mine.”
