Officially it has been confirmed that the upcoming action and revenge drama Narappa starring Venkatesh Daggubati and National award winning actress Priyamani, will skip the wait for theatres to reopen and premiere directly on Amazon Prime Video on 20th July. The movie is directed by Srikanth Addala and jointly produced by D Suresh Babu and Kalaippuli S Thanu, written by Vetrimaaran. Apparently Venkatesh is against OTT release but he agreed upon his brother Suresh Babu’s intervention. Now the reports are coming that Venkatesh is very upset and he has decided to not promote the movie Narappa.
Though Venkatesh will not take part in the promotion but Priyamani, Karthik Ratnam are expected to promote Narappa.
The story of Narappa follows the protagonist, a farmer hailing from a quaint village in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. Narappa’s son murders a wealthy landlord in a fit of vengeance. The action drama revolves around how Narappa protects his family and his son.
Narappa is a remake of cult Tamil film Asuran that won Dhanush the national award for best actor this year.
On the otherside, Venkatesh is currently working with Anil Ravipudi for an upcoming hilarious drama F3, which is a sequel to F2: Fun and Frustration.
