It is known news that Banita Sandhu played the female lead in Tamil version of Arjun Reddy, which was titled Adithya Varma. Now according to the latest update, Banita Sandhu has been tested positive for the Coronavirus in Kolkata.
British actress Banita Sandhu was in Kolkata city for the shoot of her movie Kavita & Teresa, and she was taken to a private hospital after she refused to be treated in a government hospital. An official said that Banita Sandhu refused to come out of ambulance and alleged that the hospital lacked proper infrastructure. They had to inform the state secretariat and the health department as the actress was unwilling to come out of the ambulance and she wanted to leave. They had to inform the police also. The police personnel came and surrounded the ambulance.
On 20th December, Banita travelled from the UK and was on the same flight with the youth who had tested +ive for the mutant coronavirus strain.
Banita Sandhu was counselled by senior doctors of the hospital but she was not ready to admit there. Later she was admitted to a private hospital and kept in an isolated cabin there, with the permission of the health department.
The sources say that her samples will be sent for genetic analysis to Kalyani’ National Institute of Biomedical Genomics to check whether she is infected with the new strain of the coronavirus or not.
