Few days ago the filmmaker SS Rajamouli revealed that a sequel to his blockbuster hit RRR is now in early stages of development. During a screening event in Chicago, Baahubali film maker Rajamouli said that his father and screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad is working on the sequel’s story. Now according to the latest report, Legendary Screen Writer Vijayendra Prasad is currently working on RRR sequel and Mahabharata screen adaptation. It is known that his stories are always filled with the intriguing twists and turns and epic cliffhangers.
The screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad has also worked on SS Rajamouli’ Baahubali and shared his creative process at the ongoing 53rd International Film Festival of India in Goa.
Since RRR release, fans have been praying for a sequel to RRR as it was one of the most entertaining films of the year that was even considered for sending to the Oscars.
Earlier, during a special screening of the film in New York City, Rajamouli talked about the comparison between Mahabharata and RRR. Rajamouli said that he always wanted to tell the Indian stories with the Hollywood touch as he is highly influenced by films like, Braveheart and Gladiator. Talking about the comparison, he said that what he has managed to do with RRR is minuscule of what a Mahabharata adaptation would need.
