Natural Star Nani’ production venture HIT: The First Case, a mystery thriller, had hit the theatres in the month of February last year. The thriller drama had Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma in the lead roles and Murali Sharma in the crucial roles. The movie was helmed by a debutant Sailesh Kolanu and produced under the banner of Wall Poster Cinema. The movie was released on 28th February and turned out a superhit at the box office. Now Nani made an announcement regarding the HIT sequel.
The performance of Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma, the riveting narration, V Manikandan’ cinematography and background score by Vivek Sagar helped HIT to emerge a box office winner.
HIT, which stands for ‘Homicide Intervention Team’, is all about the story of Vikram Rudraraju, a cop who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, and investigates the mysterious disappearance of a young girl in the outskirts of Hyderabad. Vishwak Sen had played the role of a police officer, Vikram Rudraraju.
Now, Nani has stated that the sequel to HIT will be set in Andhra Pradesh, and I will follow the journey of KD.
Incidentally, HIT is being remade in Hindi which is helmed by Sailesh in which Rajkummar Rao is playing the lead role.
