Performance: Sharwanand in the role of an aggressive guy is superb. His body language is fantastic. He looks good in the emotional scenes, and also shines in the action episodes. Siddharth suits the characters perfectly. He is vulnerable as a lover. Aditi Rao Hydari is the main female lead, and she does a good job. Anu Emmanuel gets limited screen space in compare of Aditi. Ramachandra Raju, in the role of kingpin of the local, illegal smuggling ring delivers his fantastic performance. Rao Ramesh as Gooni Babji who’s often belittled for his disability and a small time smuggler is fine. Jagapathi Babu in the role of Chanchu Mama is ok. Rest of the cast of Maha Samudram justify with their roles.
Technical: Ajay Bhupathi narrated the story with certain twists and turns. He introduced very concept in a very interesting way. The cinematography work is fantastic and it elevated the mood of the movie. All the songs have meaning full lyrics and Background score is good and it has taken the movie to the next level. Editing of Maha Samudram is good. The action sequences are choreographed well.
Analysis: Overall Maha Samduram is an entertaining Crime thriller movie and it marks the return of Siddharth to Telugu cinema.
