Amit Shah tests Positive for Coronavirus

Union home minister Amit Shah has tweeted that he has tested positive for Covid-19, which has infected more than 17 lakh people in the country India. Amit Shah has been admitted to a hospital.

Amit Shah himself confirmed the same. The Union Minister took to social media today to inform about his infection and said, “I have tested positive for Coronavirus but my health is fine. I have been hospitalized on the advice of doctors.” Amit Shah also appealed to those who came into close contact with him in the last few days to get themselves tested for Coronavirus.

Total coronavirus cases in  the country India have crossed the 17 lakh mark, with a surge in cases from the southern states. Active cases in India are now 567,730, with over 10 lakh recoveries according to the latest data. Over 37,000 people have succumbed to the Coronavirus so far in India. Over the last 24 hours, 54,735 cases of the disease were reported, data from the Union health ministry showed.

On the other side, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has tested negative for Coronavirus.  This news is confirmed by Abhishek Bachchan on twitter, “My father, thankfully, has tested negative on his latest Covid-19 test and has been discharged from the hospital. He will now be at home and rest. Thank you all for all your prayers and wishes for him.”
