The Children Sessions Court here has sought the transfer of the case pertaining to the murder of a Class II student of a Bhondsi school to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in Panchkula.
‘Slow pace of trial’
The District Judge on Wednesday scheduled the matter for hearing on July 30, expressing concern over the slow pace of trial.

The CBI’s plea in Punjab and Haryana High Court regarding transfer of case would come up for hearing on July 26.
Additional Sessions Judge J.S. Kundu had on July 2 passed a reference order seeking the transfer of the case to the CBI court in Panchkula and sent it to District Judge for the administrative orders. The Children Sessions Court, had in its reference order, contended that as per Haryana government notification the sessions court had the jurisdiction over the POCSO Act cases and since the matter pertained to the CBI, it should be transferred to the agency’s Panchkula court.
The District Judge observed that the case should have been settled by now as the trials in several POCSO cases were completed in a span of a month.
Complainant’s lawyer Sushil Tekriwal said the trial in the matter should not be delayed any further over the question of transfer and the justice be delivered to his client at the earliest.
