The State Budget presented by Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has not meted out injustice to north and coastal Karnataka, said Municipal Administration Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi in Belagavi on Sunday.
He told presspersons that if there were any specific issues, legislators could speak to the CM and sort them out. Additional schemes and funds will be granted in the supplementary estimates to be presented in the Assembly, he said.
Mr. Jarkiholi said he had no knowledge of the letter written by former Minister H.K. Patil on the apparent neglect of north Karnataka districts in the budget. He said Mr. Kumaraswamy had agreed to all the requests made by his predecessor Siddaramaiah for the development of Badami constituency.
He also said that BJP leaders who are complaining should study the budgets presented by Mr. Siddaramaiah and Mr. Kumaraswamy. They will realise that they complement each other, the Congress leader said.
