Housing Minister A. Indrakaran Reddy on Thursday warned agencies under Mission Bhagiratha of action for any delay caused in execution of works. He said a meeting with agencies and officials concerned will be convened with Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao during his next visit to erstwhile united Adilabad district to review work progress and decide upon action to be taken.
The Minister was addressing the Zilla Parishad general body meeting here.
He also asked officials of Telangana State Northern Power Distribution Company Limited to ensure farmers do not waste power by drawing it even when not needed.
Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna asked officials to complete assessment of number of non-tribal farmers in agency areas for inclusion in the Rythu Bandhu and Insurance Schemes. He asked officials to complete distribution of the left over investment support cheques.

Talking about the Rythu Bandhu Scheme, Mr. Ramanna said officials need to expedite issues with respect to pending cheque distribution like land mutations and absence of farmers. Chief Whip in Legislative Council P. Sudhakar Reddy, Government Whip Nallala Odelu, MLAs Rekha Naik (Khanapur), Rathod Bapu Rao (Boath), Kova Laxmi (Asifabad), and MLC Puranam Satish also attended besides Collector D. Divya of Adilabad, Prashant J. Patil of Kumram Bheem Asifabad and M. Prashanthi of Nirmal.
