Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar this week took up the Athmeeya Sammelanam (get-together) with the families of the staff working at the Punjagutta police station. They were invited by the Commissioner to give insight into the functioning of police machinery. Mr. Kumar greeted more than 550 family members of the police personnel.
Drawing, embroidery, arts, crafts and painting competitions were organised for the children police personnel. West Zone in-charge DCP Viswa Prasad, Additional DCP M. Venkateswarlu, Punjagutta ACP A. Vijay Kumar and inspector S. Ravindar were present at the get-together. Mr. Kumar also hosted a lunch for all the staff and their family members. A similar meetings were organised at Afzalgunj, Falaknuma, Begumpet and Narayanguda police stations earlier. The police station, which has jurisdiction over the Raj Bhavan and official residential bungalow of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao bagged the second best police station (in the country) award for its speedy disposal of cases with the use of technology and providing smooth public services in January.
