The Hindu
edition dated November 30, 2018, it is mentioned that the ART treatment was given to persons with HIV when their CD4 count was less than 350 cells per cubic millimetre of blood. This is incorrect as the guidelines for the treatment have been changed. Regardless of the CD4 count, the treatment is given to those who test positive for HIV. The factual error is regretted.
