City Police Boys and Girls Club wins medals in South Asian Silambam Championship

The members of City Police Boys and Girls Club functioning under Ramanathapuram Police Station bagged 30 medals in South Asian Silambam Championship held between July 13 and 15 at Kanyakumari.

The 10-member team has won 18 gold, nine silver and three bronze medals.

City Police Commissioner K. Periaiah congratulated the winners who visited him on Tuesday. Mr. Periaiah lauded the efforts of S. Elangovan, Inspector (Land and Order) of Ramanathapuram station, in charge of the club and the training team headed by Selva Kumar, a civilian trainer.

Those who won medals in various categories are Shyni Rich (three gold and one bronze), Pooja (two gold and one silver), Priscila Angel (one gold and two silver), Sree Charukesini (two gold and one bronze), Neha (one silver), Monish (three gold and one silver), Sam Amos (one gold and one silver), Bharath (one silver), Saranraj (two gold and two silver) and Balaji (four gold).
