The Bharatiya Janata Party is taking out a three-day padayatra from Ramanagaram district to Bengaluru from Thursday demanding complete waiver of all farm loans.
The padayatra will commence from Kengal Anjaneya temple, which is located in Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy’s constituency of Channapatna.
This is seen as the party’s preparations for the bypolls to Ramanagaram as well as the 2019 Lok Sabha elections for Bengaluru Rural seat. Former Minister and actor-turned-politician C.P. Yogeshwar, and Tejaswini Gowda and N. Ravikumar, MLCs, will participate in the inaugural function to mark commencement of the padayatra.
