The Bank of Baroda’s Khammam branch donated notebooks and pens to a total of 450 students of Government High School at Tanikella village in Konijerla mandal on Thursday.
The branch manager, M.V.M. Prasad, handed over the notebooks and pens to students at a programme held in connection with the bank’s 111th Foundation Day celebrations on the premises of the school.
Mr. Prasad said the programme was organised as part of the bank’s endeavour to serve the cause of students from underprivileged sections of society. School headmaster G. Rajasekhar, organiser of Ankuram Vikasa Kendram, a Khammam-based NGO, and others were present.
