Piers Morgan, 56, attended the GQ Awards 2021 alongside his wife Celia Walden, 45, tonight. But it appeared his other half had mistakenly cropped her husband out of the photo alongside football legend Gary Lineker, 60.
Taking to Instagram, the former Good Morning Britain presenter uploaded a photo alongside the Match of the Day host.
Gary looked dapper in a black and white suit which he teamed with a pair of glasses.
Piers looked equally smart from what his followers could see after the ex-GMB presenter had partly been cut out of the snap.
In view of his 7.1 million followers, the TV broadcaster shared he made his instructions clear to his wife.
He penned: “‘Get a nice photo of me and Gary, two silver fox Men of the Year together’…
“Thanks Celia. You’re fired. #gqmoty @britishgq.”
The cheeky swipe caught the attention of his wife who swiftly hit back at the presenter.
Celia replied: “Sorry. Thought you said ‘fox’?”
Her blunt comeback was met with chuckles, as social media users inundated the comment section.
One wrote: “You crack me up. Keep him on his toes.”
Another remarked: “I am laughing so much.”
“Would have been even better if you moved half a foot to the left,” a third quipped.
A fourth joked: “She probably did that on purpose.”
Gary, who works as a sports pundit, was a professional footballer and played for Leicester City which is also nicknamed the Foxes.
