Young Thug’s Tweets May Put Him in ‘a Lot of Trouble’ Amid RICO Incarceration

While Thug and Gunna’s lawyer, Brian Steel, denied that his client has access to a cell phone while behind bars, the judge hit back, ‘This is part of the conversation I had with all of you about your teams and everybody else.’

AceShowbizYoung Thug‘s social media activity amid his RICO incarceration didn’t sit well with the court. After noticing the YSL founder’s recent tweets, a judge called for limitations on the communication between lawyers and their clients in the rapper’s case.

Judge Ural Glanville addressed the issue during the Thursday, September 8 hearing. While Thug and Gunna‘s lawyer, Brian Steel, denied that his client has access to a cell phone while behind bars, the judge hit back, “This is part of the conversation I had with all of you about your teams and everybody else.”

“You really gotta zealously clamp down on-it’s like dealing with classified information. It’s need to know at this point in time,” the juge added. “And if people don’t need to know, you don’t need to disclose it. And it’s gonna get somebody either hurt or somebody in a lot of trouble.”

However, Steel insisted that someone else tweeted for Thug. “[The Michael Phelps tweet] was a conversation that was recorded between [Young Thug] and a member of his close family, close friendships,” the attorney stated. “He asked the other person who’s in control of his Twitter account to send that, or the Instagram, maybe. That is not a reason to [restrict].

The said tweet was shared on August 31. “I’m talking with my roommate and we’re wondering if you could swim 100 miles from the middle of the ocean back to shore,” someone who handled Thug’s Twitter page, tagging the Olympic gold medalist.

The tweet has caught the intention of Michael, who simply replied, “Yeah. I think I could make it,” adding a swimmer emoji. Seemingly not satisfied with the answer, Thug asked again, “How long do you think it would take?”
