Twinkle Khanna extends solidarity to Tanushree Dutta for speaking on sexual assault, calls her a brave woman

The controversy of Nana Patekar-Tanushree Dutta has shaken the industry. While some celebs came out and share their thoughts on it, some preferred to reserved their comment. Now actress and author Twinkle Khanna has come out to support the former Miss India Universe and applauded her for speaking up about this as it will give other women courage to speak about this on the public platform.

Twinkle Khanna tweeted the thread of Janice Sequeira, which read, “Some incidents that take place even a decade ago remain fresh in your memory. What happened with #TanushreeDutta on the sets of “Horn Ok Please” is one such incident – I was there. #NanaPatekar”. The actress replied on that tweet and wrote, “Please read this thread before judging or shaming #TanushreeDutta a working environment without harassment and intimidation is a fundamental right and by speaking up this brave woman helps pave the way towards that very goal for all of us!”

Apparently, Twinkle’s hubby and actor Akshay Kumar has worked with Nana Patekar in Welcome, which was a huge hit at the box office. Tanushree revealed one more shocking incident in an interview with DNA, where she said that the director of Chocolate, Vivek Agnihotri told her to remove clothes in front of Irrfan Khan and Suniel Shetty on the sets of the film as a cue to get their expressions.
