Taylor Swift fans cause mystery memoir to storm the book charts as speculation mounts she is releasing a memoir

An untitled book many believe may be an upcoming memoir by Taylor Swift has shot up sales charts in the US.

A book known only as ‘4C Untitled Flatiron Nonfiction Summer 2023’ by an unknown author is available for pre-order and is currently in the top 10 of the Amazon book sales chart and the top of Barnes & Noble’s pre-orders chart.

Taylor’s fans believe the upcoming tome may be by the singer herself after a document purported to be from Flatiron – an imprint of the publisher Macmillan –  began circulating on social media.

The document said the author and title of the book would be revealed on June 13. The book is also said to be 544 pages long, with Taylor’s fans noting that 5 + 4 + 4 = 13; Taylor’s lucky number.

The book was described in the document as an ‘autobiography or memoir’ and will  contain 40 colour photos.

It also has an initial print run of one million copies, suggesting it was written by a globally famous author.

Hinting at the book’s contents, the document read: ‘This is not a political book, it is a fun, celebratory title and will skew slightly younger, but is for people of all ages. This has global appeal and will have massive publicity.

‘I would comp (compare) this to Flatiron’s Matthew Perry memoir … and a little bit to Spare by Prince Harry.’

However, it was a post by Taylor announcing the release of the re-recorded version of her album Speak Now that sent her fans into overdrive that the book is hers.

The hitmaker addressed those viewing the post as ‘Dear Reader’, which fans believe may be a hint to an upcoming book.

To add further speculation, the book is set for global release on July 9, a date Taylor refers to in her song Last Kiss, which is on Speak Now.

Speculation is now at fever pitch that Taylor, who is currently in the midst of a world tour, is set to take the book world by storm.

The hashtag #TaylorSwiftBook now has more than one million views on TikTok amid the rumours.

The Bad Blood songstress has not addressed the growing speculation that the untitled book is by her.

However, Hollywood bible Variety has dismissed claims Taylor is set to release a book, saying the ‘clues’ are merely coincidences.

They wrote: ‘She is not gearing up to release a memoir almost simultaneously with her next album and smack in the middle of a national stadium tour, which might count as an excessive exercise in synergy, even for someone as capable of project multitasking as Taylor Swift.’

MailOnline has contacted Flatiron Books for comment.
