Numerous celebrities have shared heartfelt tributes to late TV presenter Paul O'Grady after it was announced he'd sadly passed away on 28 March, with Susan Boyle now joining mourners in sharing memories.
The singer, 61, took to Instagram, where she shared a pair of photos of herself and her late friend. She penned the heartbreaking caption: "Paul, you were one in a million, kind, funny, and a great friend.
"When I saw you last week in Edinburgh, never would I have thought this was goodbye. Sending love to Andre & your family. I will miss you."
Susan's 80,000 followers were quick to comment their own messages of condolences, with a number writing: "Sorry for your loss Susan."
"When we lose our friends, it leaves such a hole in our existence. Sorry your friend passed. Compassionately a soul sister," added another.
And a third wrote: "So sorry @susanboylemusic for the loss of your beautiful friend what a legacy of love he left in this world to animals and people it was such a beautiful place knowing he made it so bright happy and caring."
Other celebrities have also been sharing tributes to the late TV legend, including Queen Consort Camilla, who shared a message on the Royal Family's Twitter.
The statement read: "Deeply saddened to hear of the death of Paul O’Grady, who worked closely with Her Majesty in support of @Battersea_, providing lots of laughter and many waggy-tailed memories."
A number of other stars have shared their own messages as they mourn the loss of Paul. Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden posted a snap of her and Paul together and penned: "Woken up to this sad, sad news. I loved Paul.
"He was brilliantly opinionated ,searingly sharp and very funny.. I loved our conversations ..I can’t quite believe it. Thoughts with Andre and their family."
Taking to Twitter, ITV star Lorraine Kelly said: "Such sad news. Paul O'Grady – funny, fearless, brave, kind and wise. Will be sorely missed. A really special man."
And former Countdown host Carol Vorderman wrote: "Paul O'Grady Already giving them raucous, ripping up the rulebook, mischief making, calling it out, loving hell in heaven Paul, what are we meant to do without you?" with a broken heart emoji.
Paul's partner Andre confirmed his passing in a statement on Wednesday morning. He said: “It is with great sadness that I inform you that Paul has passed away unexpectedly but peacefully yesterday evening.
“We ask, at this difficult time, that whilst you celebrate his life you also respect our privacy as we come to terms with this loss. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones, friends, family, animals and all those who enjoyed his humour, wit and compassion.
“I know that he would want me to thank you for all the love you have shown him over the years.”
